According to a Chinese Foreign Ministry official on Thursday, the United States should address the issue of systemic racial discrimination.

Systemic racism, according to spokesman Wang Wenbin, is a deeply ingrained issue in American society.

According to study data, hate crime incidents against the Asian minority in the North American country climbed by 76 percent in 2022, according to Wang. According to Wang, one-quarter of young Asians have experienced racial prejudice and bullying.

This week 8 people, including 6 Asian-American women, were murdered in Atlanta. It's the latest horrifying incident of anti-Asian racism in the US. In the UK, hate crimes against East & Southeast Asians are up 300% during the pandemic.

Many Asian countries, as well as the international community, are concerned about such worrying figures, according to Wang.

Concrete steps to tackle the problem of systematic racial discrimination are urgently required.

Wang further said that living free of violence and terror is a right that everyone deserves.
