Ojas Theatre and Film Studio, on Thursday, felicitated the winners of a short film competition organized by the Nepal Army. The screenings of those movies followed the brief felicitation program.

'Kasturi', loosely based on the life of a Nepali soldier, won the first prize in the competition organized by Nepal Army in 2023. Similarly, 'Dolma' was awarded 3rd position in the competition held in 2022. The theatre also congratulated the 'Senako Santati' team, which won the consolation prize in 2023.

Dolma, directed by Grishma Shrestha, is about the struggles of a young girl who dreams of making it in the Nepal army, an organization mainly dominated by males.

Kasturi is a tale of a young boy who is obsessed with the idea of being in the Army. The stories he hears from his mother in his childhood later shape him into the man he always looked up to when he was a kid.

Directed by Rabin Dong, 'Senako Santati' revolves around the life of a window and her two children. Written by Subash Rai, the story closely follows the life of a widow whose husband is killed in combat. The movie shows their family's struggles with widows in a discriminatory Nepalese society.

The screening was attended by activists, prominent artists, the Ojas Theatre family, and people related to art and culture.
