During her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live, Kim Kardashian West joked about her divorce, sex tapes, and OJ Simpson.
The reality TV star and millionaire businesswoman showed she was not afraid to poke fun at herself on the long-running US comedy show.
Kardashian West opened the event with an homage to the intimate video that launched her career, taking the stage in New York City's famed Studio 8H in a pink catsuit.
In her monologue, she stated, "I know, I'm surprised to see myself here as well." "I was like, 'You want me to host, why?' when they asked. 'It's been a long time since I've seen a movie premiere.' Actually, I just had that one film come out, and no one told me it was even going to be released."
"It must've slipped my mom's mind," she said regarding her mother Kris Jenner's cutthroat supervision of her daughters' professions.
"I'm excited to be here tonight to show you guys that I'm so much more than just a pretty face – and good hair and great makeup and amazing boobs and a perfect butt," Kardashian West stated.
"I'm basically so much more than that reference photo my sisters showed their plastic surgeons," she says.
Corey Gamble, her mother's lover, was the next target.
"But one thing I'm really proud of is that no one can ever call me a gold digger," Kardashian West remarked. I'm not sure how you became one.
"So I asked Corey, my mother's boyfriend."
The socialite and criminal justice activist expressed her joy at following in her father's footsteps and pursuing a career in law.
Robert Kardashian is best known for representing Simpson during his 1995 murder trial, and jokes about the controversial former football player soon followed.
Kardashian West joked that her father was the one who initially introduced her to a black person, encouraging the audience to "take a stab in the dark" as to who it was.
"OJ does leave a mark – or several – or none at all, I still don't know," she added, referring to the ongoing mystery surrounding the deaths of Simpson's ex-wife and her friend.
Then there was a joke about Karen's name and how it's now used to refer to a harsh white woman.
"I don't know how she saw that one coming but not Caitlyn," Kardashian West claimed, adding that her mother "somehow" knew to avoid the term.
Another joke was directed at Kanye West's husband and former step-parent Caitlyn Jenner, who had run unsuccessfully for political office in recent years.
"I'm not running for president – we can't have three failed politicians in this family," Kardashian West stated.
Kardashian West joked about her divorce by calling West "the best rapper of all time" and "the wealthiest black man in America."
She cited "his personality" as the basis for her divorce from the father of her four children.
Kardashian West commended her family for being "such good sports" at the end of the show.
Apart from her introductory address, Kardashian West demonstrated her acting abilities by performing in sketches as Jasmine from Aladdin, a contestant on a reality TV dating show, and a darkly zany local newscast host.
She enjoyed a kiss with SNL cast member Pete Davidson for the Aladdin section, while the dating show gag had A-list celebrities.
Chris Rock, Chace Crawford, and professional wrestler John Cena all made appearances, as did superstar comedian Chris Rock.
In a court sketch titled In The People's Kourt, Kardashian West played her older sister Kourtney.
She controlled family feuds, including those between the SNL cast members portraying her and West.
The musical guest for the show was Halsey, a singer-songwriter.
The show's annual cold open sketch mocked the US Congress's investigation into Facebook's alleged wrongdoing.
While attempting to question whistleblower Frances Haugen, senators were characterized as dumb technophobes.
