Michael Gargiulo, dubbed the "Hollywood Ripper," was condemned to death on Friday, nearly two decades after murdering two women, including Ashton Kutcher's then-girlfriend.
According to CNN, Judge Larry Paul Fidler of the Los Angeles Superior Court labeled Gargiulo's offenses "vicious and frightening" as he handed down the punishment.
“In this case, death and destruction followed Mr. Gargiulo everywhere he went,” Fidler said in refusing the defense's plea for a new trial.
Gargiulo was sentenced two years after a jury found him guilty and recommended his execution.
