A hotel collapsed in Suzhou, eastern China has killed at least eight people and left nine more missings, according to authorities.
According to the Suzhou authorities, the hotel building collapsed on Monday afternoon.
The majority of the persons in the building were hotel guests at the time.
Cranes, ladders, metal cutters, and search dogs were utilized to look for survivors. A total of twenty-three passengers were stranded. Six people have been rescued thus far.
For the effort, more than 600 individuals, including earthquake rescue teams and 120 vehicles, have been mobilized. Suzhou is located in Jiangsu Province, close to Shanghai.
