Because of an irregular supply of vaccines, the immunization program, which began on February 24, progressed slowly until the end of May, according to the ministry. The country reached a delivery rate of 117,563 vaccines per day on June 4, 100 days into the process, a significant increase from the initial 5,000-8,000 shots per day. Malaysia, which has vaccinated 7.2 percent of its people, last week overtook other Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam in terms of immunization rates, although it still behind Singapore, Cambodia, and Brunei.
