Texas is poised to remove its gun restriction as the state's legislature approved a measure that would allow people to carry handguns without a license, background check, and training that go with it.

The Bill has been sent to Governor Greg Abbott, who has signed said he would sign the bill despite the objection from law enforcement groups.

The law enforcement groups say it endangers the public and police. The gun control groups who oppose the measure say that the law is dangerous noting the state's recent history of mass shootings.

Texas is already a state with some of the loosest gun control measures in the country. The lawmakers who defend the bill say that the law would allow Texans to protect themselves at public places ensuring the constitutional right to bear guns.

The National Rifle Association was among those supporting the measure, and a spokesman called it the “most significant” gun-rights measure in the state’s history.
