NYC schools to re-open in-person with no remote learning options

Mayor deBlasio

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Monday that New York City public schools would completely reopen for in-person learning in September, with no remote learning options for students.

On MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Hizzoner said, "It's good news: [in] New York City public schools, 1 million kids will be back in their classrooms in September, all in person, no remote."

“We'll be back big, ready, and clean. COVID levels are dropping in this city, which is great news.”

After more than a year of remote learning due to COVID-19 constraints, De Blasio has repeatedly refused to say if there will be a remote option in the fall.
