Former President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he would hold campaign-style rallies in four key battleground states in the coming weeks, fueling rumors that he will run for president again in 2024.
“We're going to do one in Florida, we're going to do one in Ohio, we're going to do one in Georgia, we're going to do one in North Carolina,” Trump said. “Over the next week or two, we'll be announcing them, and I believe we'll launch in Florida and Ohio, and we'll be announcing the rallies very soon.”
Last week, a source close to Trump told The Washington Post that he will hold at least two rallies in June, with a third rally possibly around the Fourth of July holiday.
Since leaving office in January, Trump has given many interviews to conservative media outlets. In February, he delivered his first major post-presidential speech at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, and on June 5, he will address the North Carolina Republican Party's convention.
