A couple in Pennsylvania have been arrested Thursday fot keeping their sons locked in a cellar.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Richard Hayes, 37, of Mount Oliver, and Natosha Bell, 26, of Rankin, were arrested Wednesday at McClure Elementary School in White Oak, where Hayes' 11-year-old son declined to get into his car at dismissal time.

The couple called the coal cellar "the hole" where they kept the boys locked for days at a time.

A witness told police that the terrified boy clung to a school employee and said he didn't want to be handcuffed again.

According to police, "the hole" was simply an empty coal cellar with no lights, running water, or a concrete floor.

In the same floor was a room called 'the cell' with a bucket which they were forced to use as toilet.
