After visiting a vaccination site in Virginia, US president Joe Biden announced that all American adults will be eligible to receive a COVID vaccine by April 19.

President, previously, had set the deadline of opening vaccine to all adults on the first of May.

He urged Americans to continue pursuing Pandemic safety measures as the country has not yet reached "the finish line" of the pandemic.

He said despite the vaccination being on record number, the battle against covid is "far from won" as the cases continue to surge,

Biden also urged local government (governors and mayors) to maintain or reinstate the mask mandates.

As of Tuesday, about 168 million people were administered vaccination shots while more than 219 million doses have been rolled out across the country.
