According to Treasury and Internal Revenue Service officials, the coronavirus stimulus payments could be hitting as soon as this weekend.

The Stimulus payment aims to help 160 Million US House Holds. The first portion of the $1,400 payments was processed on Friday.

Additional large batches of payments will be sent via direct deposits or through mails as cheques or debit cards in the coming weeks.

A family of four earning less than $150,000 will be receiving $5,600, as a part of the America Rescue Plan.

"The payments will be delivered automatically to taxpayers even as the IRS continues delivering regular tax refunds," IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig said in a statement.

The first two rounds of Payment were limited to children below 17. But in this round, all the qualifying dependents, including college students, adults with disabilities, parents, and grandparents, will receive the payments.
