Russia continues to see a regular fall in the number of daily cases as the vaccine rollouts have been increasing.

According to the officials, the cases on Monday were at an all-time low since October 22, 2020, with mere 15,996 cases. They said that more than 1,728 of those cases were in the capital Moscow alone.

Mortality among the infected has also been decreasing in the country. The country sees 407 deaths on Monday due to COVID, compared to 432 on Sunday.

Russian vaccine Sputnik-V has shown 92% efficacy in the clinical trials. Despite the initial skepticism, more and more countries are going for the Russian vaccine due to its higher efficacy and better safety.

Russian vaccine is considered to be safer and offers complete protection against hospitalization and death.

Russia has vaccinated around 2,000,000 of its citizens so far.
