After Trump had announced that he had parted ways with his earlier set of attorney, he has announced two new members in his defense team.

Donald Trump announced on Sunday, David Schoen and Bruce Castor will be in the team that will defend Donald Trump at the impeachment trials.

Both of them have issued statements saying they are honored to take the job.

David Schoen is a frequent TV legal commentator while Castor is a former district attorney in Pensylvenia. Castor had faced criticism on his decision to not charge actor Bill Cosby in a sex crimes case.

The announcement Sunday was intended to promote a sense of stability surrounding the Trump defence team as his impeachment trial nears.

Donald Trump is the first president to be impeached twice. Trump's impeachment trial is set to proceed in the week starting at February 8.

Trump is facing allegations for "incitement of the insurrection" for inciting ProTrump Mob to storm the Capitol.
