A Russian journalist was killed in a shelling incident in Ukraine's capital Kyiv while filming damage to a shopping center.
On Wednesday, Oksana Baulina was killed alongside another civilian while reporting for the independent Russian news website The Insider on the devastation caused by an earlier shelling in the city's Podil district.
Two additional members of the reporter's entourage were also injured and hospitalized during the attack.
The Insider's editors condemned Ms. Baulina's death as a "war crime."
"The Insider expresses its heartfelt condolences to Oksana's family and friends," they said.
"We will continue to cover the Ukrainian war, including Russian war crimes such as indiscriminate shelling of residential areas, which results in civilian and journalist deaths."
Ms. Baulina previously worked for the anti-corruption foundation of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny but left the country.
Last year, the authorities declared the foundation illegal and labeled it an extremist organization, forcing many employees to flee to other countries.
Before her death, the journalist was able to send several reports from the Ukrainian cities of Lviv and Kyiv.
She is believed to be the fifth journalist to die in the month since Russia invaded Ukraine.
Yevhenii Sakun, a camera operator, was killed on 1 March during a TV transmission tower shelling in Kyiv.
A fortnight later, award-winning US filmmaker Brent Renaud, 50, was assassinated in Irpin, on the outskirts of Kyiv, while filming.
And two days later, on the outskirts of Kyiv, two Fox News journalists - cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski, 55, and Oleksandra Kuvshinova, 24 - were killed when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire.
Disturbing video footage captured earlier this month was when two British journalists were shot and killed in a violent ambush in Ukraine.
