Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has said that he is willing to have a better relationship with the United States and resolve the misunderstandings through talks.

"We look forward to a new era of relations with President Joe Biden's government based on mutual respect, dialogue, communication, and understanding," Maduro said.

Although Venezuela has a democratically elected republic system, the States looks government of the Latin American Nation as dictatorial and autocratic due to its socialist-leaning tendencies.

The US relationship with Venezuela was badly handled during the Trump Administration. Trump Administration imposed several sanctions on Venezuela since 2019 including natural gas and oil.

The relation was wrecked from its base after the US government one-sidedly declared the opposition leader of Venezuela Juan Guaido as the president.

President Trump had also accused, ex Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez of interfering in the US elections. However, it has been almost a decade since he passed away.

Biden is expected to take a softer tone with the Latin American Nation and perhaps improve the relations between the two American Countries.
