In connection with the murder of RUC officer Michael Ferguson in Londonderry in 1993, a man has been convicted.
The 64-year-old was arrested in Derry on Monday by detectives from the PSNI's Legacy Investigation Branch.
He was arrested and taken to Musgrave Police Station for questioning under the Terrorism Act.
On 23 January 1993, an IRA gunman shot Constable Ferguson, from Omagh, twice in the back of the head at close range in Shipquay Street.
The Catholic police officer, who was 21 years old at the time of his death, was on duty at the time and was rushed to Altnagevlin Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
