Multiple publications claim that "Cheer" star Jerry Harris has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for his child pornography conviction.
The 22-year-old former cheerleader pled guilty to receiving child pornography and traveling with the intent to engage in illegal sexual activity.
TMZ was the first to disclose the news that friends and family joined Harris on Wednesday as he awaited his destiny.
In September 2020, the FBI searched the disgraced Netflix star's Naperville, Illinois, residence and accused him of manufacturing child pornography. Authorities asserted he solicited sex from youngsters at cheerleading competitions and coerced adolescent males to email him obscene photographs.
According to USA Today, he pled guilty in February 2022 to sexually abusing a 15-year-old and paying a 17-year-old for sexually explicit images and recordings.
Harris also admitted to engaging in similar behavior with other kids, but those charges were dropped.
Harris's alleged transgressions were outlined in detail in a 28-page complaint, which was replete with alarming text and social media conversations.
The criminal accusation was filed just days after the twins' family filed a $1 million civil claim alleging mistreatment in a Texas court.
The January 2020 launch of "Cheer" on Netflix follows Harris and his former Navarro College cheerleading squad from Corsicana, Texas.
