Police in the United Kingdom has charged "House of Cards" actor Kevin Spacey with four charges of sexual assault as he confronts a sexual abuse allegation in a New York City court.
The Crown Prosecution Service Special Crime Division confirmed Thursday that the 62-year-old actor has been charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of "causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent."
The charges result from a Metropolitan Police investigation, according to the CPS.
According to authorities, two of the alleged crimes occurred in March 2005, the third in August 2008, and the fourth in April 2013. One was located in Gloucestershire, while the others were in London.
The victims are all men; no other information was provided, including their ages or identities.
Dozens of men had accused the troubled actor of sexual misconduct, beginning with "Star Trek" actor Anthony Rapp, who stated in October 2017 that Spacey raped him when he was 14 years old.
Other alleged victims include Tony Montana, the son of Richard Dreyfuss, a teenager who accused Spacey of groping him in a bar in Nantucket, Massachusetts, in 2016, several actors at the Old Vic theater in London, where he served as artistic director, a theater usher in Connecticut, and a military adviser working on the set of "Outbreak."
As allegations from more men piled in, Kevin Spacey was sacked from "House of Cards," replaced in "All the Money in the World," and abandoned by his public relations team.
The 62-year-old New Jersey native posted scary Christmas films under his "House of Cards" role for the next three years, adopting Frank Underwood's sinister tone and accent.
