Kate Moss has rejected a rumor that Johnny Depp pushed her down the stairs during their relationship in the 1990s, contradicting Amber Heard's testimony in court.

The British supermodel testified via videolink in Johnny Depp's $100 million defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard in Fairfax County District Court.

In one of the shortest testimonies of the entire trial, the 48-year-old woman testified that Mr. Depp never pushed her down any stairs.

During their relationship, he never shoved or kicked her, she said.

Benjamin Chew questioned the model, who seemed from Gloucestershire if Mr. Depp had ever shoved her down the stairs during their relationship.

Ms. Moss responded, "No, he never pushed me, kicked me or pushed me down any stairs,"

Ms. Moss, who admitted a romantic relationship with Mr. Depp from 1994 to 1998, stated that she stumbled on wet stairs and injured her back, and Mr. Depp arranged for her to receive medical care.

Ms. Heard had mentioned hearing a rumor that Mr. Depp shoved the model down a flight of stairs.

Mr. Depp's legal team was celebrated when Ms. Heard referenced Ms. Moss and called on the model to testify.

Ms. Moss started through a video link that the event's claim at the GoldenEye resort in Jamaica was false.

"We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did and there had been a rainstorm," she explained.

"As I exited the room, I slid down the stairs and injured my back. I yelled since I had no idea what had happened.

"(Mr Depp) came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention."

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is suing Ms. Heard over an essay she published in the Washington Post in 2018 that, according to his attorneys, wrongly claims that he physically and sexually assaulted her during their relationship.

Mr. Depp has refuted all charges.

Both Mr. Depp and Ms. Heard have previously testified, with Ms. Heard's testimony concluding on Wednesday.

Multiple witnesses, including Ms. Heard's sister Whitney, Ms. Heard's friend Raquel Pennington, and one of Mr. Depp's other ex-girlfriends, Ellen Barkin, have testified to jurors about physical and sexual abuse claims against the actor.

Ms. Barkin said in a video deposition aired in court last week that Mr. Depp was controlling during their brief relationship.

Throughout the previous few weeks, jurors have been informed of multiple episodes of abuse, including allegations of assault against both Mr. Depp and Ms. Heard.

The testimony of Ms. Moss occurred in the penultimate week of the trial, with closing arguments scheduled for Friday.
