According to the Ministry of Public Health, 96 people were injured in the explosion at the five-star Hotel Saratoga, and 13 adults and five children remain hospitalized in six local hospitals.
Roberto Enriquez, a spokesman for the state-run hotel management company Gaviota, stated that rescue crews continued to comb through the rubble, searching for three reported missing individuals, two chambermaids, and a cook.
51 personnel were in the building at the time of the tragedy, according to Enriquez; 23 perished in the explosion, 22 have been released from the hospital, and three remain hospitalized.
Friday at noon, a tanker truck carrying approximately 10,000 liters of liquefied gas exploded, causing the disaster.
