Refugees flee from Ukraine following Russia's so-called military operation in Ukraine and are entering Poland.

The Polish Ministry of Interior Affairs had already authorized the establishment of temporary refugee centers around Poland, and military and emergency services personnel were spotted aiding in the establishment of such centers.

According to Poland's border agency, 29,000 individuals entered from Ukraine on Thursday, with thousands more arriving on Friday.

Russia started its military action in the early hours of Thursday, which international leaders fiercely denounced.

Ukrainian President Zelensky declared martial law and proclaimed the termination of diplomatic relations with Russia.

Ukraine's civil airspace remains partially closed owing to the threats posed by ongoing military operations.
