Kanye West has threatened to pull out his headline set at this year's Coachella Festival, claiming that recent Billie Eilish comments were directed at Travis Scott.
Overnight (February 10), West – now legally known as Ye – responded to a screenshot of an Instagram post made by hip-hop account @RapSeaTV that read: "Billie Eilish dissed Travis Scott at her concert after she stopped the show to give her fan an inhaler! 'I wait for the people to be okay before I keep going.' "
The title refers to Eilish's recent engagement in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 5, when she paused the performance to deliver an inhaler to an audience member. "You need an inhaler?" In a fan-shot film, Eilish is heard questioning an audience member. "Do we have an inhaler? Can we grab one?" she inquires of a crew member.
In the second footage, her followers greet Eilish with cheers after she says, "I wait for people to be OK until I keep going."
Even though Eilish did not refer to Scott, West appeared to retweet @RapSeaTV's post, assuming that Eilish's remarks were a dig at Scott, referring to the recent tragedy at his Astroworld festival. West's caption reads in all caps: "Come on, Billie, we love you, please apologise to Trav and to the families of the people who lost their lives."
"Trav will be with me at Coachella but now I need Billie to apologise before I perform."
Eilish reacted a few hours later in the post's comments, stating that she "literally never said a thing about Travis."
Both West and Eilish are set to headline Coachella alongside Harry Styles this April.
Scott was initially scheduled to co-headline but was reportedly dropped from the list following the Astroworld tragedy. During the rapper's main concert, a crowd surge killed ten people and injured hundreds more.
