On Thursday, Canadian truck drivers intending to shut down central Ottawa over a federal government vaccination mandate moved across the country into the capital, bolstered by Tesla CEO Elon Musk's admiration.

The demonstrators are angry because Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Liberal administration has mandated that cross-border truck drivers receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

According to industry experts, 90% of drivers crossing the US border are immunized, but a few have rejected, claiming that the regulation violates their rights.

Musk, who declared in September 2020 that he would not get vaccinated for COVID-19 because he and his family were not in danger, tweeted, "Canadian truckers rule." He indicated he most likely had a moderate episode in November 2020.

Hundreds of truckers are expected to arrive in Ottawa on Friday, to park their trucks on Parliament Hill and crippling downtown traffic.

The rally is expected to be peaceful, according to the organizers. Some demonstrators, on the other hand, have spoken of shutting down hospitals, attacking Trudeau, and even a civil war.

The Ottawa Police Service tweeted on Thursday, "We are aware of inappropriate and threatening language on social media relating to this event. Those who engage in criminal activity

Trudeau on Monday accused conservative politicians of stoking fear over the mandate.
