It would be reckless to "completely trust" Armenia's minefield maps handed to Azerbaijan, Baku's special presidential representative Emin Huseynov said Thursday.
Huseynov made the statements in an interview with Azerbaijan's Xalq Gazeti newspaper, referring to Yerevan's recent provision of maps of the Karabakh minefields.
Armenia revealed maps of booby-trapped Azerbaijani regions recently rescued from occupation following Russia-mediated negotiations.
Armenia previously provided Azerbaijan with maps detailing 92,000 mines buried in Fuzuli and Zangilan provinces and 97,000 mines in Aghdam, in exchange for the release of 30 Armenian people detained in Azerbaijan.
Baku and Yerevan were involved in a 44-day conflict last year over Karabakh — a region within Azerbaijan occupied by Armenia – which concluded with a cease-fire negotiated by Russia on Nov. 10, 2020.
Azerbaijan liberated 13 cities and 300 communities and villages occupied by Armenia for nearly three decades during the conflict.
