Gladys Berejiklian, the Premier of New South Wales, urged residents to continue getting vaccinated.

67 percent of NSW citizens have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

"While a 70 percent double dose gives those of us vaccinated freedoms, 80 percent double dose allows us to look at international travel, welcoming home all Australians." According to Berejiklian.

A woman in her 50s with underlying health issues died, as did two men in their 80s and 90s who died in the hospital.

Dr. Kerry Chant, the state's senior health officer, said 143 individuals were in intensive care, with 58 of them requiring ventilation.

Since June 16, there have been 96 Covid-related deaths in the state.

Victoria

As health officials assess the limits that will stay when the lockdown is extended on Thursday, Victoria has registered 76 new locally acquired Covid-19 cases.

45 of the new cases have been connected to current outbreaks using contact tracers.

The number of cases quarantined while infectious, according to health officials, will be released later.

There are around 1000 exposure sites throughout Victoria, including a construction site near Fishermans Bend and various apartment towers in Melbourne.
