Authorities say a grand jury has charged adult film actor Ron Jeremy on more than 30 charges of sexual assault spanning more than two decades, involving 21 women and girls.

Jeremy, 68, whose real name is Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, pled not guilty to all of the allegations, which include 12 counts of rape, in Los Angeles superior court on Wednesday.

The indictment, which was returned on August 19 and unsealed on Wednesday, spans claims from 1996 to 2019, with victims ranging in age from 15 to 51 years old. The charges appear to be the same as those brought against Jeremy last year, which he denied.

LA County prosecutors utilized private grand jury hearings to get an indictment that replaces the original accusations, allowing them to avoid a public preliminary hearing on the evidence and proceed to trial, a method they previously did in their case against Harvey Weinstein.

Jeremy's "position is the same as when the criminal complaint was filed," according to defense counsel Stuart Goldfarb in an email. He is not guilty of any of the charges.”

Since his arrest in June 2020, Jeremy has been kept in jail on a $6.6 million bail.

According to the indictment, Jeremy sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman at a picture session in 1996, a 26-year-old woman in a nightclub in 2003, and a 17-year-old girl at a residence in 2008.

In 2004, he is also accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl.

There is no definite date for the trial. Jeremy was summoned to court for a pretrial hearing in October.

Since the 1970s, Jeremy has been one of the most well-known and prolific performers in the pornographic industry, appearing in hundreds of films. He's also been in a number of mainstream films and reality television series.

Weinstein has pled not guilty to ten charges of sexual assault and will stand trial in the near future. An 11th count was dropped by the judge.
