Local police reported on Friday that six people were killed in a mass shooting in Plymouth, a port city in Devon, southwest England, on Thursday evening, including the gunman and a three-year-old daughter.

Jake Davison, a 22-year-old local resident, was confirmed as the gunman, Devon and Cornwall Police stated in an online statement. After going on a shooting spree in Plymouth's Keyham neighborhood, he killed himself.

A three-year-old child was among the five persons killed, according to the police, who also added that two others were hospitalized at the site and that neither was critically hurt.
