Virginia Guiffre, the woman who has been saying she was the victim of sexual abuse by Jeffery Epstein, has come out against the UK prince Andrew and filed a case against him in a US federal court.
She filed a lawsuit against the Duke of York in Manhattan Federal Court saying she was sexually assaulted by him while she was 17.
Giffre has said she was abused multiple times by Prince Andrew while she was a minor.
She also said she received threats from Ghislaine Maxwell (girlfriend and alleged partner in the crime of Epstein) and Eipsten himself to perform sexual acts with the UK Prince.
“The powerful and rich are not exempt from being held responsible for their actions. I hope that other victims will see that it is possible not to live in silence and fear, but to reclaim one’s life by speaking out and demanding justice,” Giuffre said in a statement.
“I did not come to this decision lightly,” she added. “As a mother and a wife, my family comes first — and I know that this action will subject me to further attacks by Prince Andrew and his surrogates — but I knew if I did not pursue this action, I would be letting them and victims everywhere down.”
Andrew's name was repeatedly mentioned in legal depositions surrounding accusations against Epstein for running a decades-long sex trafficking ring with British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. And he has been long accused of being involved in his trafficking ring.
However, the Royal Family seems relentless to protect the second son of the queen.
