Canada is lifting the traveling restriction over the visitors from its neighbor at the southern borders and the legal permanent residents in a condition that they test negative for COVID-19 and are fully vaccinated.
This means the tourists from the United States can now visit cross borders to Canada if they are fully vaccinated. The visitors should enter the country within three days of testing negative for the COVID-19.
Although the vaccines have been proven effective in controlling severe cases of COVID-19, it has been seen that the vaccinated people can still spread the delta variant.
Last month, Canada announced it would drop a two-week quarantine requirement for its nationals when they return home from the U.S.
The US-Canada border has been closed to non-essential travel since March 2020, when the Pandemic started.
