Senate Democratic leadership and Democrats on the Budget Committee have agreed on a $3.5 trillion infrastructure investment plan that would be included in a budget resolution that will be considered later this summer, according to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
After more than two hours of closed-door talks between committee Democrats and White House officials, Schumer informed reporters, "We have come to an agreement." Republicans have been excluded from these discussions.
“When you combine it with the $600 billion in a bipartisan plan, you get $4.1 trillion, which is very close to what President Biden has requested,” Schumer said.
