Authorities announced Monday that one person was killed and at least three others were injured in a shooting at a race track in West Salem, Ohio.
The shooting, according to Wayne County Sheriff's Office Capt. Doug Hunter, began in the parking lot of the privately-owned Dragway 42, roughly 50 miles southwest of Cleveland, on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities began getting 911 calls reporting multiple persons shot.
Deputies discovered two victims who had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital, and one of them died. Two additional shooting victims, according to Hunter, drove themselves to hospitals.
Hunter described the suspect as a "intoxicated person driving a pickup truck recklessly."
His car kicked up gravel in the parking lot, resulting in a fight. Officials say the suspect then got out a revolver and started shooting.
When members of the suspect's family were shot, a citizen with a conceal-carry license fired fire, according to the sheriff's office. That person was interviewed by deputies, but he was not charged.
Hunter stated that authorities are still working to identify and locate the gunman.
