Sher Bahadur Deuba has been elected as the Prime Minister of Nepal for the fifth time, following the Supreme Court's Order.
Nepal had been put into a constitutional crisis after President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved the Parliament at the recommendation of the cabinet, led by the former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Before the dissolution, the two leaders, Deuba and Oli, had their claims at the Prime Minister's post. Both of them had shown the Majority in the Parliament.
President had dismissed both claims which prompted the dissolution.
However, the Supreme Court on Monday, decided that Deuba's claim was legitimate and order the President to nominate him as the Prime Minister. The Parliament will be reinstated according to the new decision.
By Tuesday Afternoon, Deuba has already been appointed as the Prime Minister and is expected to extend the cabinet with some ministers by the evening.
Deuba-Government's first job will be calling the Parliament session with a week, where Deuba has to face through the vote of confidence. If he fails to get the vote of confidence he would be the caretaker Prime Minister and would have a right to dissolve the parliament and call for the Election.
However, he is not mandated to do so and he will have an option to repeat the processes to elect his successor, which could be himself or any other.
