The mainstream corporate media has been covering Cuban people taking up the streets but they have not been reporting why are they taking up the streets.

Unlike the claims of the mainstream Imperialist mouthpiece, most of the Cubans not taking up the streets against communism in Cuba.

At first, few of the people had taken up the streets against the economic restrictions and lockdown following the pandemic breakout. However, that was soon followed by the revolutionaries who took up the streets to defend the revolution.

Some of the initial protestors, likely US-backed, were even asking for surrender with the states. Which was responded to by a series of protests for defending the revolution, and it was in tens of thousands of numbers.

Maydelis Gutiérrez, an Afro-Cuban Protestor chanted "I am Fidel" at the top of her lungs at the protests.

She told Granma that she is here "to defend the Cuban Revolution at whatever cost is necessary, ready to give up my blood and give them the answer those worms deserve."

The people defending the revolution strongly opposed taking assistance from the states or surrendering to the US.

They firmly backed solidarity with the government in tackling Imperialism.

Two Cuban-made vaccines are proven to be more than 90% effective and the government has started the vaccination campaign.

Cuba had been left without vaccines until it made one because the vaccines can't reach the island due to the US embargo.
