Apparently, the American role in the Afghan war was limited to destroying the country, orchestrating two coups, and killing the revolutionaries.

The US President Biden denied taking any responsibility for rebuilding the country.

He said America's role in Afghanistan was limited to protect American interests. 

The televised address, with a group of reporters in the East Room, came just hours after his security team briefed Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on the latest developments in Afghanistan.

The US military announced American withdrawal of troops has been 90% complete.

Biden called on Afghanistani leaders to come together and build the country. He said the US wants peace and stability in the region but it's not American responsibility.

"America did not go to Afghanistan to build the country," he said.

The US  overthrew two Afghani governments in the last 3 decades.
