Real Time host Maher has been tested positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated. 

Comedian and Program Presenter Maher hosts the HBO show 'Real Time with Bill Maher'. 

HBO spokesperson said that Maher, 65, tested positive for the COVID-19 during the weekly PCR testing for the show.

Maher had never missed an episode across the 19 seasons of the Television show. Maher has been hosting the "Real Time" show since 2003.

"Thanks to all wishing me to get well - hard to do since I feel perfectly fine, but I appreciate it! Most upset about ending my streak going back to 1993 of never missing a Politically Incorrect or Real Time episode. Oh well, even Cal Ripken had to sit one out at some point," Maher Tweeted, following the news of him being tested positive.

The Real Time show has been canceled for this week. HBO spokeswoman said it will be rescheduled.
