According to several sources, the continuing missile exchanges between the Gaza Strip and Israel have killed two Israelis and at least 20 Palestinians.

Tensions that erupted in Jerusalem demonstrations have now devolved into a minor rocket war between Hamas terrorists in Gaza and the Israeli military.

A rocket struck at least one residential building in Ashkelon, southern Israel, killing a man and a woman. According to Ynet, another individual was seriously injured and several others were lightly injured by a rocket launched elsewhere in the area.

Two Jewish men have been arrested in Lod for allegedly murdering a young Arab man in retaliation for Gaza rockets and other abuse. Videos from Monday night's incident show a group of around a dozen men approaching a vehicle, some of whom are holding what appears to be firebombed. As the men scatter, several shots ring out, and one of them shouts in Arabic, "He was shot, Allah hu Akbar," or "Allah is the greatest."

Hundreds of Arabs have also been arrested in connection with rioting in Lod, Haifa, and other cities across the Negev. It's the biggest outbreak of Arab rioting in Israel since police killed 13 rioters in a series of clashes that sparked the second intifada in October 2000.

At least a dozen Jewish Israelis have been injured in protests by Palestinians, which have included throwing rocks at cars and arson attacks.

Hundreds of rockets have been fired at Israeli cities by Palestinian rebels since Sunday, causing Israel Defense Forces to launch retaliatory strikes into Gaza. According to Israeli and Palestinian newspapers, at least 20 people have died as a result of the retaliation blast, including a Hamas official on Monday and an Islamic Jihad ballistic specialist.
