The United States and the United Kingdom have denied claims from Iran that they are negotiating a prisoner swap with Tehran, which could result in the release of a British-Iranian woman named Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and four Americans, among others.
Iran was a major topic of conversation between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab on Monday in London. Their meeting came a day before the first face-to-face meeting of foreign ministers from the Group of Seven leading industrial nations in two years, which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The talks are likely to be dominated by Iran, Ukraine, China, Russia, climate change, and COVD-19.
