A state of emergency has been declared in Japan as the coronavirus epidemic re-emerges.

Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga declared a state of emergency again on Friday, officials said. A state of emergency has been declared in the central capital, Tokyo, and in the western provinces of Osaka, Kyoto, and Hyogo.

Japan has declared a state of emergency for the third time. The current state of emergency will take effect on Sunday, May 11.

Authorities have declared a state of emergency to prevent further epidemics. As the "Golden Week Holiday", a special event in Japan, approaches, health officials are worried that the corona will spread.

Bars and restaurants have been banned from selling and distributing alcohol, and large commercial establishments have been shut down.

Officials say that even if a state of emergency is declared, it will not be like a complete shutdown. Officials say the coronavirus will be tightened only for activities that support the spread of the virus.

In particular, the issues of preventing crowds, maintaining social distance, making it mandatory to wear masks will be given priority, he said.
