According to a source, the family of the 19-year-old who went on a shooting spree at an Indianapolis FedEx facility released a statement Saturday sending "heartfelt apologies."

Brandon Scott Hole, a former FedEx employee, has been named as the gunman who killed eight people before killing himself on Thursday night.

According to the Indianapolis Star, his family said in a statement, "We are saddened at the loss of life caused by Brandon's actions; through the love of his family, we tried to get him the support he needed." “Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences go out to the victims of this senseless tragedy. We are very sorry for their families and the entire Indianapolis community's suffering.”

At Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, a prayer vigil is organized for the victims and families of the FedEx facility mass shooting in Indianapolis.
According to the publication, the family denied interview requests.

According to the FBI, Hole's mother had called police last year, concerned that her son would try to commit suicide by cop.
