A one-year-old boy was seriously injured when the Myanmar army indiscriminately fired rubber bullets on Saturday.

A rubber bullet fired by the army hit an innocent boy playing in Thamin Basti in Rangoon. The boy, who was shot in the eye, is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Non-governmental organizations working in the field of children have sharply criticized the incident. Social media users have wished the child good health and expressed hatred towards the army.

In Myanmar, even children have not been safe with protesters lately.

The army has been killing children day after day since the coup. The military junta, which killed a nine-year-old girl in her father's hometown this week, fired a rubber bullet at an innocent one-year-old boy on Saturday.

A total of 114 protesters, including six children, were killed on Saturday when security forces opened fire indiscriminately.

More than 400 protesters across the country have been killed by security forces.

Gyan Bahadur Baga, a journalist, and writer living in Mogok say that Myanmar is a battlefield. He said that shots were being fired in different parts of the country every day.

Despite international condemnation, the Myanmar army has made no rectification to their actions.
