As the state of California is cautiously moving to reopen the business, the state plans to open its vaccine program to all adults.
The state would start vaccinating everyone over 50 over in a week and all adults over 16 from April 15.
Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, said, “In just a few weeks, there’ll be no rules, no limitations, as it relates to the ability to get a vaccine administered.”
Newson, 53, said he is looking forward to getting vaccinated himself.
States across the country have been expanding the age limit to get vaccinated. New York has already opened its inoculation campaign for all adults while Texas will open next week.
Florida has said it will be opening the vaccination for everyone over 18 starting April 15.
The age limit is set to 65 years or older generally for most of the states.
California has paced up its inoculation campaign after being slow to roll out the vaccines at first. The state expects to receive 2.5 million doses a week in the first half of the month and more than 3 million a week in the second.
Currently, the weekly supply of vaccines in California is roughly 1.8 million doses.
California has administered more than 15 million vaccine doses so far.
