Boulder mass shooting
According to the Associated Press, the gunman who killed ten people in a Boulder, Colorado grocery store was identified as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, 21.
Alissa is from Arvada, Colorado, which is a Denver suburb. He is currently being treated in the hospital for wounds sustained during the shootout with police inside the King Soopers supermarket. He will most likely be transferred to the Boulder County Jail later today to face murder charges.
Investigators are still looking for a motive, according to Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty. Alissa appears to be the sole perpetrator.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, Ali Aliwi Alissa, Alissa's brother, described him as "very anti-social" and "paranoid."
“While eating lunch with my sister in a restaurant, he said, 'People are looking for me in the parking lot.' She got out, but no one was there. “We had no idea what was going on in his head,” Ali Aliwi Alissa explained.
Alissa's Facebook page, which was allegedly hers, has since been removed. It claimed that he was born in Syria in 1999 and wrestled for Arvada West High School.
