CNN reported on Sunday that the US Border control has detained more than 5,000 unaccompanied children in its custody at the southern-Mexico Border. More than 600 of those children have been detained within the last 10 days.

If the law is to be obeyed, the children are needed to be turned over to the Department of Health and Human Services within 72 hours. However, according to a report the children are being held under jail-like facilities for an average of more than five days.

According to the reports, the schedules are alternated for children to be in the confined facilities. Some children don't see the sunlight for days, while others are taking turns showering. The situation in the confined camps is said to be like prison camps.

Due to the surge in the number of detained children, bunk beds have been added to the facilities. Some of the bunk beds are up to three bunks high.

Journalists have not been permitted to enter the 'prison camps' since Joe Biden took the office in January.

The former president Donald Trump faced outrage regarding the condition of children in the camps.

However, things don't look so different if not worse under the Biden Administration which is supposed to be much open for the Migrants.
