Police have arrested a 66-year-old woman near the White House with a loaded gun in her car and a letter for president.

The woman was with a man who was carrying a BB gun. The man, however, was not arrested. The woman was detained by the officers for possessing an unregistered firearm.

The woman was arrested around 5:30 pm on Saturday. She said she wanted to deliver a letter to the president. 

The Secret Service said that they did not believe either of the individuals. They said the car posed an immediate threat.

Just last month, Wesley Allen Beeler was detained by authorities when a loaded handgun, more than 500 rounds of ammunition, and fake inaugural credentials were found when officers searched his truck.
