NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, on Sunday, has declared a state of emergency in NYC amid the expectation of a monster storm that might wallop the city.

During the storm, residents were advised to stay home, with all non-essential travel limited starting at 6 a.m. Monday to Monday

The mayor made a serious warning about the storm being very dangerous.

Only those needing medical attention or medical equipment and crucial employees would be permitted on the highways, such as first responders, pharmacy and grocery store employees, and restaurant and delivery staff.

“Make no mistake: this storm will bring heavy snowfall and it will make travel dangerous in every neighborhood in our city.”

The mayor added: “New Yorkers should stay home, keep the roads clear for emergency vehicles and let our plows work to keep us safe.”
