Dustin Poirier startled Conor McGregor with a knockout in the second round at UFC 257 as the notorious' return to the octagon after over a year ended with a unsparing defeat in Abu Dhabi.
After having not fought anyone in a year, McGregor was looking forward to restore himself back into lightweight title and ultimately set up a rematch against his bitter foe Khabib Nurmagomedov.
But things did not go according to plan for the Irishman as The diamond (Poirier) assaulted McGregor in the second-round, knocking his rival with a big left hand against the cage before following up with a barrage of strikes to bring an end to fight.
This game came as sort of as revenge for Poirier, who previously lost the fight with 'the notorious' in the first round back in 2014.
