Bangladesh to receive COVID-19 Vaccine from India

On Friday, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud stated that Bangladesh will be recieving coronavirus vaccine from India. 

Talking with the reporters on Rangpur Circuit House premises, He said, " "There is no reason to be worried about the coronavirus vaccine. As per the agreement, the vaccine will come here from India in time."

According to Dr Hasan, Joint General Secretary of the Awami League, Serum Institute of India has already cleared the confusion created over the Covid-19 vaccine issuing a statement. 

Indian Health Secreatry also confirmed that the vaccine would be provided in time as per the agreement.

Indian Ambassador for Bangladesh has also confirmed about Banglaesh receiving Covid-19 vaccine in time, The minister stated.

According to Bloomberg report, Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, position of Bangladesh is best in the subcontinent while addressing the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Various rumours were circulated against Bangladesh in the past and Hasan believes that there might be involvement of same people who are spreading rumours over Covid-19 vaccine now.

Dead bodies on the road, famine and so on was predicted after coronavirus was first reported in Bangladesh. Hasan said adding: "But by the grace of Allah, the people of Bangladesh are well."

Minister Hasan addressed about press freedom in Bangladesh. In many developed countries too, media do not get optimum freedom but media in Bangladesh are enjoying full freedom according to Information Minsiter Dr Hasan.

Hasan visited the Rangpur Rangpur sub-station of Bangladesh Television and the Rangpur Centre of Bangladesh Betar. With the officials, he exchanged views regarding functions and future plans of the two centres.

Many officials were also present on the occasion including Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Asib Ahsan, Additional Superintendent of Police Madhusudan Dutta, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Shahidullah Kawsar, Rangpur district AL President Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, its General Secretary Rezaul Karim Raju, Joint General Secretary Motahar Hossain Mandal Maula, Rangpur City AL President Safiur Rahman Safi and its General Secretary Babu Tushar Kanti Mandal etc.
