Three more deaths results have come out, police says 52 people have been arrested in Capitol Hill incident
Police have confirmed the death of 3 more people in the Capitol Hill incident. Earlier, police had confirmed the death of one woman. The number of deaths will likely increase.
The woman, whom authorities haven't identified yet, was shot and died at a local hospital. D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee said that she was shot by a plainclothes Capitol Police officer. Contee said the woman "was transported to a local hospital where, after all lifesaving efforts failed she was pronounced deceased."
He added, "This is a tragic incident and I send my condolences to the victim’s family and friends."
Contee also said the other three deaths, involved "separate medical emergencies as the cause of death." He did not provide any causes of death. He said the determinations will rely upon an examination from D.C.'s chief medical officer. Those from the three are two males and a female.
