A Police report from August of 2019 shows, the police responded to the home of a woman who had threatened to kill herself. She told officers that her boyfriend - Anthony Quinn Warner - "was building bombs in the RV trailer at his residence." The police report states that an attorney who was also there and represented both the woman and Warner - told police that Warner "frequently talks about the military and bomb making."

The Attorney Ray Throckmorton told police," He knows what he is doing, and is capable of making bombs." He says he had urged police to check out Warner's home. He said to News Channel 5 that he had represented Warner in the past on various real estate issues, but he believed what Warner's girlfriend was saying.

She was so convincing that morning, and so distraught, that I decided in the front yard in the middle of all those police officers on the spot, that even though it was a former client of mine, that somebody needed to go check it out right then.

Police, closed the case, however without even having a talk with Warner.

Police went to Warner's home after speaking with the girlfriend but were unable to contact him. Officers saw the vehicle, but it was fenced off, and police were unable to see inside the vehicle for any signs of bombs or bomb-making materials.

"They saw no evidence of a crime and had no authority to enter his home or fenced property," MNPD spokesman Don Aaron said.

The FBI told the Tennessean that Throckmorton later would not allow law enforcement to interview Warner or access his property, telling them that Warner "did not care for the police."

"At no time was there any evidence of a crime detected and no additional action was taken," Aaron said. "No additional information about Warner came to the department’s or the FBI’s attention after August 2019."

After the coming out of the reports about this FBI issued the following statement,

On August 22, 2019, the FBI received a request from the Mettro Nashville Police Department to check our holdings on Anthony Warner and subsequently found no records at all. Additionally, the FBI facilitated a Department of Defense inquiry on Warner at the request of the Metro Nashville Police Department which was also negative.

The FBI regularly assists our law enforcement partners seeking additional information to further their investigations.

The FBI will continue to work closely with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to assess intelligence around any known or potential threats to public safety.
